The show must go on

Life stopped
And an innocent child’s soul
Was penetrated in a car

They broke and killed
And blood splattered on temple walls
Or was it a mosque

With the stroke of a gavel
It was all done,
They were to die an unnatural death
Worse than those hostages
Or the others from unimportant yesterday

Piece of glass are still reminders
Of how your arrogance ran us over
But our soul still lurks here somewhere
In your trains and your hearts

But the blackened face
Once asked me to see
And see beyond the black disgrace
That the truth as caught on a tape
May be another thing

But for you and me
The slaves of truth,
The complexity of the layers
Are just an encumbrance
A snapshot talks in words of its own
A sequence narrates an essay
A ‘vo’ and a bite
Bring to you the death and gore,
And the madness goes on,
And on and on
